Telstra Health taps Salesforce, Snowflake for its ongoing modernisation
Cloud software providers Salesforce and Snowflake will integrate their solutions into Telstra Health's upcoming digital health platform.
Based on a media release, Snowflake will provide a common data and analytics layer that consolidates disparate datasets across Telstra Health products and services. The resulting actionable insights and advanced analytics will create the foundation for innovation, including AI use cases, according to CTO Farhoud Salimi.
Meanwhile, the integration of Salesforce's cloud-based patient and provider platform and API management and integration platform will enhance user experience. "When you transition from one care setting to another using our products on our new platform, it will be seamless – both from a user experience perspective and data perspective," Salimi explained.
The two globally recognised cloud platforms join interoperability solution provider Smile Digital Health from Canada in supporting Telstra Health's modernisation.

$2M for WA digital health projects
The government of Western Australia recently awarded a total of A$3 million ($1.9 million) in grant funding to six projects developing smart healthcare solutions.
Among these projects, the My Emergency Visit pilot aims to enhance patient experience in the emergency department. Another project will introduce AI-driven triage and waitlist solutions to East Metropolitan Health Service.
