EXCLUSIVE: Longtime CAA agent Ryan Abboushi is switching gears professionally, leaving the talent agency for a new post as President of Entertainment at MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas. Abboushi has been with CAA for more than 16 years, having started there in May 2009.
As leader of MGM Resorts’ entertainment division, he will oversee a unified programming and operations strategy to build on and expand the company’s position as a world-class leader in live entertainment and immersive experiences. He’ll more specifically look after MGM Resorts’ venue utilization, show bookings, talent management and partner relationships, while helping to build scalable, branded entertainment and content experiences that can extend across MGM Resorts’ many destinations. His first day will be June 16.

During his time at CAA, Abboushi packaged and sold numerous films, television shows and specials, as well as guided the careers of many of the world’s most renowned storytellers. He began his career at William Morris Agency after after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Southern California.
