‘Fallout’ gets early Season 3 renewal ahead of Season 2 premiere in December

Prime Video has renewed its Emmy-nominated hit sci-fi series Fallout for Season 3, ahead of the Season 2 premiere in December 2025, Amazon announced at its annual upfront presentation on Monday.

Season 2 will premiere during the holiday season. The new season will pick up in the aftermath of Season 1's epic finale and take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas.

The dystopian series, based on the bestselling Bethesda Game Studios video game franchise of the same name, is one of Prime Video's most successful series. Season 1 has accumulated more than 100 million viewers worldwide and is one of the service's top three most-watched titles ever. It was nominated for 17 Emmys in 2024, including Outstanding Drama Series and Best Drama Actor for Walton Goggins. Fallout is produced by Kilter Films, with executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as executive producers, creators, and showrunners. It stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Goggins as survivors in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The trio appeared at the the presentation to announce the premiere date and renewal.
