Kansas City police arrest six, seize guns and drugs in entertainment district crackdown
Six people were arrested and multiple firearms seized during an overnight enforcement effort in Kansas City. Kansas City police say were attempting to arrest an ATV driver Friday night when individuals in a nearby vehicle pointed a weapon at them. Police said the suspects tried to flee but were unable to get away. Four people in the vehicle, including juveniles, were arrested. Officers recovered three firearms, and felony charges are pending, police said.The arrests were part of the department’s Entertainment District Plan. Along with the arrests, police towed two vehicles, found five firearms, issuing nine citations and four summonses, and confiscating drugs.
