Water and sanitation in health-care facilities are essential for public health, economic development and quality health care, preventing infection outbreaks and reducing the number of avoidable deaths. The guidance is based on a review of current and emerging technologies and consultation with Member State stakeholders in the region on selecting the most appropriate designs.
