Where do you stand on the “tush push”?
Is it simply a fair play that the Philadelphia Eagles have perfected, putting the burden on defenses to figure out how to stop it? Is it an unsportsmanlike gimmick that puts the safety of players at risk? Or do you fall in the camp of A.J. Brown, the Eagles receiver who said, “I don’t have any thoughts on it. It’s only 1 yard.”
No matter where you fall, you can’t deny that the NFL’s vote on whether to ban the play was a big deal this week. Ultimately, the measure fell two votes short, giving Jalen Hurts and the Eagles at least one more year to terrorize their foes. And at least one more year for all of us to talk about the play’s merits.
Luckily, that’s not all we’re focused on in this week’s news quiz, as there were plenty of interesting stories taking center stage.
So dig in and enjoy, and make sure to play our daily Connections: Sports Edition, too.
Good luck!
