Bridgewater, New Jersey – The Somerset Patriots, the New York Yankees Double-A affiliate, will host Women In Sports Night at TD Bank Ballpark for the game on Tuesday, September 2. The Patriots take on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays) at 6:35 pm.

The event is designed to celebrate the work of women in the sports industry and encourage others to follow their passion to join the field.

Women In Sports Night will feature an exclusive panel in the Diamond Club located on the suite level from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Panelists include Ashley Kavanagh, Manager of Brands at Wasserman; Macall Martin, Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Engagement at Princeton University; Nicole Poyser, Director of Ticketing at MLB; Samantha Conner, Senior Coordinator of Ticketing at MLB; and Nicole Gregus, Manager of Corporate Partnerships at the New Jersey Devils.

Name: Ashley Kavanagh

Bio: Ashley Kavanagh currently serves as a Manager, Brands at Wasserman overseeing AT&T's gender equality and culture partnerships. Ashley works across AT&T Untold Stories at Tribeca Festival, helped launch AT&T's new NWSL league partnership, and built the strategy for the 2024 and 2025 She's Connected by AT&T content series, garnering 40M+ video views. Prior to working at the agency, She spent time at FanDuel and 5+ years in college athletics across 4 Division I institutions in both sponsorships and fundraising. After a B.S. in Marketing from University of Maryland - College Park and a M.A. in Sport Administration from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ashley is happy to be back in NJ living in Hoboken, and enjoying her parents' house on summer weekends in Point Pleasant.

Name: Macall Martin

Title: Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Engagement

Company: Princeton University

Bio: Macall Martin joined the Princeton Athletics Department in October 2017 and currently serves as the Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Engagement. In her role, she oversees strategy and operations across areas including marketing, ticketing, fan experience, branding, and community engagement.

Since arriving at Princeton, Martin has led numerous high-impact initiatives, including the department’s yearlong celebration of The 150th Year of Princeton Football, which featured a marquee game at Yankee Stadium, as well as #Princeton500, a campaign commemorating Princeton’s record 500 Ivy League championships. She also served as the lead project coordinator for the 50th anniversary of women’s athletics at Princeton, in conjunction with Title IX recognition efforts. Other major projects have included branding overhauls for multiple athletics facilities and the development and rollout of a new Athletics Department style guide. Martin also led the RFP process to secure a sole provider for the department’s screen printing and embroidery needs. Later this summer, she will oversee the transition and launch of a new ticketing system.

Martin has played a key role in reimagining Princeton’s external brand strategy. Collaborating across communications, multimedia, and ticketing, she has helped unify promotional and content efforts to grow brand awareness and affinity, particularly through her leadership in graphic design and creative direction. She also works closely with the department’s sponsorship unit (Learfield) on fan-facing, revenue-generating campaigns and in-venue experience initiatives.

Prior to Princeton, Martin spent seven seasons at her alma mater, Oregon State University, where she held multiple roles within the Marketing and External Relations teams. She managed marketing, fan experience, and design efforts for men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, volleyball, and wrestling, while also supporting football and managing the mascot and internship programs. Highlights from her time at Oregon State include leading a full athletics brand identity overhaul in partnership with Nike, launching the Road to the Final Four campaign for women’s basketball, and developing community-focused programs like Haircuts for Cancer and Beavers Beyond the Classroom.

Martin began her athletics career as a student intern at Oregon State before joining the department full-time in 2011. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Media Communications with a minor in Writing.

An active member of NACMA and Women Leaders in College Sports, Martin also serves on multiple Princeton University committees and employee resource groups.

She lives in Kendall Park, New Jersey, with her husband, Anthony—who works in the Rutgers Athletics equipment department, their daughter, Slade; son, Mox; and their rescue Great Dane, Sarge.

Name: Nicole Poyser

Title: Director of Ticketing

Company: MLB

Bio: Nicole is in her 20th season with MLB. She is a day-to-day ticketing contact for all affiliated Minor League Baseball clubs. Nicole regularly checks-in and provides best practices to the clubs in the network to reach a goal of league-wide idea sharing and increased ticket sales. Prior to her time in Ticketing, Nicole worked within MLB’s Stats Department overseeing Gameday – the department’s stat tracking application - for the Minors.

A native New Yorker, and lifelong Mets fan, Nicole currently lives in Queens with her husband Earl and their son Niko.

Name: Samantha Conner

Title: Senior Coordinator, Ticketing

Company: MLB

Bio: In her fourth season at Major League Baseball, Samantha, a Senior Coordinator in the Ticketing Department, has found her stride in assisting MiLB clubs with their ticketing strategies, best practices, and cross-club collaboration. From helping streamline ticket operations, hosting monthly calls for clubs to talk to one another, and visiting teams for hands-on conversations, no two days are ever the same. Samantha got her start in the sports industry during her time in the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management at the University of South Carolina.

Before graduating in 2019, Samantha completed two full-time internships. Her time in Pittsburgh, PA as a box office intern with the Pittsburg Riverhounds (USL Championship) and in Richmond, VA as a client services intern with the Dominion Energy Charity Classic (PGA Tour Champions) provided Samantha with insight into sales and service in the sports industry and introduced her to the world of ticketing. After her time in Richmond, Samantha moved on to the Nashville Predators (NHL) box office at Bridgestone Arena, where she assisted the team, and fans, in adoption of a fully digital ticketing experience post-Covid. In January of 2022, Samantha made her transition to Major League Baseball in the New York city Office, and has been there since.

Full Name: Nicole Gregus

Title: Manager, Corporate Partnerships

Company: New Jersey Devils

Bio: Nicole Gregus currently serves as a Manager of Corporate Partnerships at Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE), where she leads various revenue-generating initiatives for the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center. With a sales background, it took until 2021 for Nicole’s journey within sponsorships to begin at her previous employer, LEARFIELD – Rutgers Sports Properties working directly with the Rutgers Athletics Department.

Nicole holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational and Community Leadership, with a minor in Sports Management from the University of Delaware, where she was also apart of the D1 softball team for two years. She resides in Keyport, New Jersey, with her fiancé, Chris, and their dog Cameron (named after her love for Duke Basketball).
