The Stephen Leacock Associates proudly present the 78th Annual Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour Gala Dinner—a celebration of Canada’s funniest literary minds and one of Orillia’s favourite sons, the legendary Stephen Leacock himself.
This isn’t your average awards dinner. Picture this: over 200 humour fans, arts and culture leaders, and bestselling Canadian authors gathering at Hawk Ridge Golf Club—all to honour the 2025 winner of the Leacock Medal for Humour (and a very real $25,000 prize).
The evening kicks off with a lively Reception, complete with live music from another beloved Orillian and a chance to rub elbows with actual published authors—who, contrary to popular belief, do occasionally leave their writing caves.
