Durant is a one-time MVP, a two-time champion and a two-time Finals MVP, while Antetokounmpo is a two-time MVP, a one-time champion and a one-time Finals MVP.

Durant has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns. He will play for his fifth team next season, as the Suns are going to trade him this offseason.

The Heat want to acquire Kevin Durant or Giannis Antetokounmpo this summer.

Durant and Antetokounmpo have many things in common. They are not only NBA icons, but they have also been linked to the same team this offseason.

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Miami Heat want to trade for Durant or Antetokounmpo this summer.

If Miami can’t get Antetokounmpo or Durant, they could pursue Warriors restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga

“Miami has prioritized pursuits of Giannis Antetokounmpo (if he became available this summer) and Durant (whom they’re actively trying to acquire) on their wish list ahead of Kuminga, who’s viewed as a fallback option to the two superstars,” Scotto wrote.

The Heat were swept in the first round of this year's playoffs by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jimmy Butler requested a trade from Miami and was traded to Durant's old team, the Warriors.

Antetokounmpo hasn’t requested a trade from the Bucks, so he’s likely staying in Milwaukee.

Meanwhile, the Heat are in active pursuit of Durant, who is likely to be traded by the Suns before the 2025 NBA Draft.
