TRENTON, Tenn. — An annual event recognizes some very special athletes.
The Gibson County Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held Friday evening at Peabody High School.
Established in 1995, the Gibson County Sports Hall of Fame annually recognizes men and women who have made outstanding contributions to Gibson County athletics on the high school, college or professional level.
Friday night, eight people were inducted into the 2025 hall of fame.
The Hall of Champions team induction went to the 1972-73 Peabody High School Boys basketball team and the 1973-74 Peabody High School girls basketball team.
The event also recognized six outstanding high school student athletes within Gibson County.
