Impression Entertainment Signs ‘Superman’s María Gabriela De Faría

EXCLUSIVE: Ahead of the anticipated release of Warner Bros & DC’s Superman, where she plays lead female villain Angela Spica aka The Engineer, Venezuelan actress María Gabriela de Faría has signed with Impression Entertainment for management.

De Faría stars alongside David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan in James Gunn’s Superman, which is slated for release on July 11. Her character, Angie, boasts powers stemming from nanotechnology built into her body.

De Faría is otherwise best known on the feature side for roles in Lionsgate’s action-thriller The Duel and The Exorcism of God, a supernatural horror pic co-written and directed by Alejandro Hidalgo, which was released through Saban Films after world premiering at Fantastic Fest, coming in as the #1 film in South America for several months. She also starred in R#J, a modern retelling of Romeo & Juliet, which premiered as an official selection of both the 2021 Sundance Film Festival and SXSW.

In television, De Faría most recently appeared opposite Joel McHale on Fox’s hit comedy Animal Control. She previously starred in two seasons of ABC’s ensemble family comedy The Moodys, alongside Denis Leary and Elizabeth Perkins, and earned critical attention for her breakout U.S. television role as a series regular in Syfy’s Deadly Class, executive produced by Joe and Anthony Russo.

Founded 15 years ago, Impression is a management and production company led by industry vets Jill Littman and Michael Baum. Other notable clients include Édgar Ramírez, Antony Starr, Barbara Hershey, Reid Scott, and Nicole Richie, to name just a few.
