Ahead of the show, news broke that a significant on-air talent won't be on TV on Monday. In a video posted on WWE's official X account, "Raw" general manager Adam Pearce revealed that he is on vacation. He then announced that taking his place for Monday's episode of the red brand will be "SmackDown" general manager Nick Aldis.

WWE is closing in on its "Night of Champions 2025" PLE in Riyadh. The winners of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will be decided on the show. There will also be an undisputed WWE Championship match between titleholder John Cena and CM Punk.

Meanwhile, Seth Rollins continues to gain power within WWE along with Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed. How will Aldis handle the fast-growing heel faction when 'Raw' goes on the air? It's a similar situation to when Aldis had his hands full with The Bloodline.
