SANDUSKY, Ohio — If roller coasters aren’t your jam, but you’re still looking for something to do at Cedar Point, a new act may be just the thing you were looking for.

What You Need To Know

  • This June, a stand-up comedy series will be debuting at Cedar Point

  • There will be multiple shows on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays

  • Some shows will be appropriate for kids 14 and up while others are geared to those 21 and older

A new stand-up comedy series will be debuting in June at the park’s Palace Theatre in Frontier Town, according to a press release. The series is called Hoots & Hollers, and it features various touring comedians.

“Hoots & Hollers is a collaboration with Secret Society Comedy, a Cleveland-based pop-up comedy club that’s produced over 475 shows at more than 60 venues across Northeast Ohio,” the release reads.

The free shows (included with park admission) will be at 7, 8 and 9 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays from June 6 until Aug. 31. While the first two shows of the evening are appropriate for children age 14 and older, the 9 p.m. show is geared toward a crowd 21 and up.

“People go to Cedar Point for the thrill of roller coasters and the emotional roller coaster of tension and release that comes with great stand-up felt like the perfect match,” said David Horning, co-founder of Secret Society Comedy, in the release. “We’ve worked with every comedian headlining this summer and we can’t wait to see them light up an intimate space that’s not known for stand-up…yet.”
