CCWF focuses on staff health, wellness

Central California Women’s Facility (CCWF) recently hosted its second staff health and wellness fair featuring more than 50 vendors.

The goal of this year’s fair was to encourage CCWF staff to practice wellness in every aspect of their lives: mentally, physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually.

Vendor booths ranged from financial and retirement services to health and fitness. Other vendors included family photography, cosmetics, chiropractic, travel, and massage.

The Employee Association Committee fired up the grill and provided lunch for staff. There were also several food trucks at the event.

Staff had the opportunity to take a quick break and peruse the vendors. They also enjoyed their lunch while waiting in line for a chair massage. Meanwhile, a mini-golf course awaited staff at another vendor booth.

“We really appreciate the services provided today and look forward to next year,” said one of the officers.

According to organizers, the event was a success, introducing staff to services they may not have been aware of or been able to access. CCWF plans to make this an annual event.
