JACKSON, Tenn. — The year 1925 was filled with incredible literature that is still read today. One author is hoping to highlight this particular year for everything that was created in that time.

Tom Lutz is a New York Times bestselling author. He is also a former professor at multiple universities.

Lutz claims that 1925 was the golden year of literature.

To celebrate this, he has created an encyclopedia consisting of a wide variety of creations that he says make this year so great.

“The Great Gatsby,” early Hemmingway releases, Gertrude Stein, and Anita Loos are just a few examples.

Lutz tells us about the popularity of literature in this time.

“I think of this as perhaps the highwater mark for literature,” Lutz said. “Books were the center of the culture. Literature was the center of the culture. Even a mediocre book by somebody that people didn’t know would get 10 or 12 reviews.”

You may be able to get a copy of this encyclopedia at your local library. You can also find it at most bookstores.
