Fargo South 14, Wahpeton 1

FARGO — Fargo South rolled to an Eastern Dakota Conference win over Wahpeton in five innings on Tuesday.

South’s Colby Ebeling was 2-for-3 with a triple and five RBI, and Brander Hilmert was 2-for-3 with a home run and a triple, and he drove in three runs. Henry Schrum had a hit and two RBI, and Sith Egan had two hits and an RBI. Hunter Giere had a hit and an RBI

Ebeling started and got the win, allowing a run on no hits in three innings. He walked two and struck out four. Mark Dahlman relieved and worked two scoreless innings. He allowed one hit, walked one and struck out five.

South is 15-3 in EDC points and 14-7 overall. Wahpeton is 2-14 in EDC points and 2-12 overall.

North takes two from Sheyenne

FARGO — Fargo North rallied to win both games of an Eastern Dakota Conference doubleheader against West Fargo Sheyenne on Tuesday.

North took the first game 4-3, then scored twice in the final inning for a 3-2 victory.

In the first game, Sheyenne tied the game 3-3 in the sixth inning on a North error. North loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the sixth and scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball.

North reliever Peyton Spitzer set the Mustangs down in order in the top of the seventh to end the game.

North’s Tanner Kiland, Ben Sheets and Kellen Dougherty all had a hit and an RBI.

Sheyenne’s Jordan Clemenson had a hit and an RBI.

In the second game, North scored twice in the bottom of the fifth and final inning to walk-off the Mustangs.

Two of three North runs were unearned and the Spartans had just three hits. Five Spartans pitchers combined to allow two runs on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts.

Sheyenne starter Landon Zink allowed a run on two hits in four innings. He walked five and struck out four. James Buffington pitched the fifth and surrendered two unearned runs.

North is 5-9 in EDC points and 10-8 overall. Sheyenne is 6-10 in EDC points and 9-9 overall.

Fargo Davies 5, GF Red River 3

FARGO — Fargo Davies erased a two-run deficit with four runs in the fifth inning in an Eastern Dakota Conference game against Grand Forks Red River on Tuesday.

Davies loaded the bases with one out in the fifth and G Pankratz singled in two runs to tie it. Gus Werremeyer followed with a two-out, two-run double for a 5-3 lead.

Red River put two runners on in the sixth but Davies starter W Kosidowski got out of the jam with a pickoff and a strikeout. He then set the Roughriders down in order in the seventh.

Kosidowski allowed two earned runs on eight hits, walking two and striking out eight.

Pankratz and Gus Werremeyer both had hits and two RBI, and Caleb Christianson had a hit and an RBI. Kosidowski and Kane Mathiason both had two hits.

Davies is 17-1 in EDC points and 19-3 overall. Red River is 8-6 in EDC points and 10-6 overall.

West Fargo 6, Fargo Shanley 5

FARGO — Ashton Wigestrand singled in the winning run in the top of the seventh inning as the Packers completed the Eastern Dakota Conference comeback win.

Trailing 5-4 entering the final inning, Ethan Bye drove in Brody Medina on a single to tie the game, setting up Wigestrand’s game-winning hit.

Shanley grabbed the lead early, scoring three runs in the second inning and adding single runs in the fourth and fifth innings. Greg Noel pitched six innings for Shanley and also hit a home run. Joey Jaeger had three hits for the Deacons and Cole Stimpson had three RBI.

Medina, Wigestrand and Bye were all 2-for-4 for the Packers and Jacob Scholand had 2 RBI.

West Fargo is 10-6 in EDC points and 10-8 overall; Fargo Shanley dropped to 6-8 in EDC points and 5-10 overall.

Lisbon 13, Fargo Oak Grove 0

LISBON — Two Lisbon pitchers combined on a four-hitter against Fargo Oak Grove on Tuesday.

Starter Jordyn Bittner went four innings, allowing two hits, walking one and striking out three. Colton Johnson pitched the fifth, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out one.

Bittner had a hit and four RBI and Eli Lyons had three hits and an RBI.

Oak Grove’s Greyson Dockter was 2-for-3.

Bemidji takes two from Spuds

MOORHEAD — Bemidji swept Moorhead behind solid starting pitching on Tuesday.

The Lumberjacks won 2-0 in game one and 2-1 in the second game.

In the first game, Bemidji’s Jack Lundquist fired a three-hitter, walking two and striking out eight.

The Spuds’ Riley Dickhaus, Carter Huotari and Jonah Horan all singled. Starter Easton Groce allowed two runs on eight hits in seven innings.

In the second game, Bemidji starter Gunner Ganske allowed a run on five hits in seven innings. He walked two and struck out 11.

Moorhead’s Carson Heinsch was 2-for-3 and Taye Reich had a hit and an RBI. Spuds starter Drake Kunza allowed two runs on five hits in six innings. He walked two and struck out four. Carter Olson pitched a scoreless seventh inning.

Moorhead is 4-5 overall while Bemidji is 7-2 overall.

PELICAN RAPIDS — Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton allowed just two runs in a sweep of Park Rapids in a Heart O’Lakes Conference doubleheader on Tuesday.

The Rebels won game one 9-2 and followed that with a 10-0 win in a six-inning second game.

In the first game, a five-run sixth inning paved the way for DGF. Z Deutsch ripped a two-run double to right field and finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

Dylan Anderson earned the win on the mound, giving up zero earned runs on eight hits with six strikeouts. Jace Baumgartner drove in three runners and doubled.

Park Rapids’ Charlie Johnson and Wyatt Johanning both finished 2-for-3. Jackson Soderberg had seven strikeouts in the loss.

In the second game, DGF scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth to end the game.

The Rebels’ Cayson Bergee and Jace Baumgartner both doubled and had two RBI. Zander Deutsch also drove in two runs. Alex Anderson was 3-for-4 and Dylan Anderson was 2-for-4.

Rebels pitcher Tanner Cadwell fired a one-hitter, walking two and striking out five.

DGF is now 6-0 in the Heart O’Lakes Conference and 9-1 overall. Park Rapids is 5-7 in the conference and overall.

Fargo North 20, Valley City 14

VALLEY CITY — Fargo North rallied from a four-run deficit with big innings in the sixth and seventh innings against Valley City in an Eastern Dakota Conference slugfest on Tuesday.

Valley City led 11-7 through five innings but North scored four runs in the sixth and nine in the seventh.

North’s Aubrey Kind was 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and three runs batted in. Charlotte Duff had two hits, including a homer, and drove in two runs. Olivia Kalbus was 4-for-6 with two doubles and two RBI, and Leah Hoffman and Ainsley Ness both had two hits and three RBI. Sonja Gorder was 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI.

Valley City’s Bailey Leroux and Riley Smith both had three hits and an RBI.

North is 14-2 in EDC points and 10-3 overall. Valley City is 4-10 in EDC points and 2-7 overall.

WF Horace 17, Fargo South 2

HORACE — West Fargo Horace defeated Fargo South in an Eastern Dakota Conference game on Tuesday.

Horace is 10-5 in EDC points and overall. South is 0-17 in EDC points and 0-10 overall.

GF Red River 4, Fargo Davies 0

GRAND FORKS — The Grand Forks Red River Roughriders shut out Fargo Davies in an Eastern Dakota Conference matchup on Tuesday evening.

Red River starter Jocelyn Berg twirled a gem. Berg pitched a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts in seven innings. Berg tripled and Brooke Dorsey hit 2-for-3.

Davies’ Emery Motschenbacher was 2-for-2 and Ellie Steinlicht had the other hit. Sophie Rerick struck out eight in the loss.

Red River is 11-3 in EDC points and 9-7 overall. Davies is 8-5 in EDC points and 7-7 overall.

West Fargo 10, Fargo Shanley 1

FARGO — The West Fargo Packers defeated Fargo Shanley in an Eastern Dakota Conference matchup on Tuesday evening.

West Fargo’s Brynlie Rheault held the Deacons to four hits, allowing one run and five walks with six strikeouts. Rheault drove in three runs at the plate. Kendel Krenz was 4-for-4 and Katelyn Kackman had three hits.

Shanley’s Liz Biver was 1-for-2 and knocked in the lone run.

West Fargo is 11-5 in EDC points and 9-12 overall. Shanley is 8-4 in EDC points and 4-5 overall.

DGF sweep HOL doubleheader

GLYNDON — Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton won a pair against Park Rapids on Tuesday in a Heart O’Lakes Conference doubleheader.

DGF won 13-3 in the first game and 9-5 in the second.

DGF is now 9-1 in the Heart O’Lakes Conference and 14-1 overall. Park Rapids is 6-4 in the conference and 6-6 overall.

GF Red River 4, Fargo North 0

FARGO — The Grand Forks Red River Roughriders held Fargo North scoreless in an Eastern Dakota Conference contest on Tuesday night.

Red River’s Addison Kotrba scored off a centering pass from Aila Effhauser in the 27th minute. In the 37th minute, Alexis Geffre buried a free kick and scored her second a minute later. Taylor Hodny scored in the 42nd minute.

Red River is 8-0-1 in EDC points and overall. North is 3-6-1 in EDC points and overall.

Fargo Davies 7, West Fargo 0

FARGO — The Fargo Davies Eagles defeated the West Fargo Packers in a metro Eastern Dakota Conference showdown on Tuesday.

The Eagles scored five goals in the second half. Quinn Skari and Evie Rivas both netted two goals for Davies. Ava Dorsam, Anna Dorfmeister and Carter Ford also scored.

Davies is 7-1 in EDC points and overall. West Fargo is 0-9 in EDC points and overall.

Fargo Shanley 3, WF Sheyenne 1

WEST FARGO — Fargo Shanley scored the game’s first three goals and defeated West Fargo Sheyenne in an Eastern Dakota Conference game on Tuesday.

Shanley’s Milly Flaherty opened the scoring with a goal on an assist from Danica Clasen. Emma Rohrich put the Deacons up 2-0 with a first-half goal on an assist from Mykenna Johnson.

Flaherty scored her second of the game in the second half on an assist from Kinsley Julik.

Sheyenne’s Dela Voegele broke up the shutout with a second half goal on an assist from Alivia Anderson.

Shanley goalkeeper Rylee Seavert made eight saves and Deacons goalie Ashland Roach made four stops. Sheyenne goalie Reese Shotley made 12 saves.

Shanley is 5-3-1 in EDC points and overall. Sheyenne is 1-6-1 in the EDC and overall.

GF Central 3, Fargo South 0

GRAND FORKS — The Grand Forks Central Knights topped Fargo South in an Eastern Dakota Conference matchup on Tuesday night.

Central led 3-0 at halftime. Forward Charli Kulack buried a long shot in the 23rd minute and Jacie Reardon followed with another goal. Madisyn McLaughlin netted a top-shelf free kick from the 20-yard line to close out the half. Addison Lamb put the game on ice with a goal in the 76th minute.

Central is 5-1-3 in EDC points and overall. South is 3-6-1 in EDC points and overall.
