FARGO — Fargo South and Fargo Shanley both picked up wins in an Eastern Dakota Conference doubleheader on Monday.

South won the first game 3-2 and Shanley won game two 3-1.

In the first game, South’s Caden Nelson went the distance, allowing one earned run on four hits. He walked two and struck out 10. Shanley scored a run on a two-out error in the top of the seventh, but South ended the game on a Shanley lineout.

South’s Carson Shiek had a hit and two RBI, and Brander Hilmert was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Nelson was 3-for-3.

Shanley’s Jeremiah Bekkum was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Starter Quinn Miller allowed three runs on eight hits in six innings. He walked two and struck out four.

In the second game, Shanley pitcher Landon Hale went all seven innings, allowing a run on eight hits. He walked one and struck out six.

Hale outdueled South’s Ethan Doll, who also went the distance, allowing one earned run on nine hits, walking two and striking out five.

Shanley’s Joey Jaeger was 3-for-3 with an RBI and Cole Stimpson was 2-for-3.

South’s Hunter Giere had two hits and an RBI and Matt Bryant was 2-for-4.

South is 13-3 in EDC points and 13-7 overall. Shanley is 6-6 in EDC points and 5-9 overall.

Fargo Davies 13, GF Central 1

GRAND FORKS — Fargo Davies pitchers Jackson Sturma and Gus Werremeyer both went three solid innings in an Eastern Dakota Conference win over Grand Forks Central on Monday.

Sturma started and went three scoreless innings, with two hits, a walk and two strikeouts. Werremeyer went three innings. He didn’t allow a hit, gave up one run, walked two and struck out three.

Davies’ Cayden Neuharth doubled twice and drove in four runs, and Alex Christopherson was 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI. Gus Pankratz had a hit and two RBI, Gus Werremeyer doubled and drove in a run and Kane Mathiason was 3-for-3.

Davies is 15-1 in EDC points and 18-3 overall. Central is 2-12 in EDC points and 5-10 overall.

West Fargo 17, Valley City 4

VALLEY CITY — West Fargo outdistanced Valley City in an Eastern Dakota Conference game on Monday.

West Fargo’s Jacob Scholand was 3-for-3 with a double and five RBI. Brody Medina had two hits and three RBI, Ashton Wigestrand had two hits and an RBI, and Ethyn Bye and Owen Haugen both had three hits.

West Fargo is 8-6 in EDC points and 9-8 overall. Valley City is 0-12 in EDC points and 0-10 overall.

Central Cass 24, Fargo Oak Grove 3

FARGO — Central Cass worked eight hits and 15 walks for a win over Fargo Oak Grove on Monday.

Central Cass’ Noah Muchow was 3-for-4 with a double and five runs batted in, and Jacob Thompson was 2-for-4 with a double and five RBI. Kale Pearson was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI.

Muchow went all five innings, striking out nine, to get the win.

Greyson Dockter, Elliott Butenhoff and Noah Meidinger had Oak Grove’s hits.

West Fargo, Sheyenne split two

WEST FARGO — West Fargo and West Fargo Sheyenne split an Eastern Dakota Conference doubleheader on Monday.

West Fargo took game one 7-6 and Sheyenne rebounded for a 12-7 victory in the second game.

In the first game, West Fargo led 7-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh and had to hold off Sheyenne, which scored four runs in the inning.

West Fargo’s Katelyn Kackman was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI. Brooklyn Williams was 2-for-4 with an RBI, Jordan Rosenthal had a hit and an RBI, Ella Amundson was 3-for-4 and Gretchen Klein had two hits.

Sheyenne’s Madison Aadland hit a solo homer and Lauren Hemberger had a hit and an RBI. Meredith Solberg had two RBI.

In the second game, Sheyenne overcame a four-run deficit with eight runs in the fourth inning, then padded the lead with three more in the sixth.

Aadland had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs. Hemberger had a hit and three RBI and Katelyn Bishop was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

West Fargo’s Claire Osland was 4-for-4 with an RBI, and Williams was 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBI. Klein had two hits.

West Fargo is 9-5 in EDC points and 8-12 overall. Sheyenne is 8-3 in EDC points and 7-8 overall.

Fargo North 20, Fargo South 7

FARGO — Fargo North banged out 23 hits in an Eastern Dakota Conference win over Fargo South on Monday.

North’s Olivia Kalbus was 3-for-3 with two home runs and a double, and she drove in four runs. Kenleigh Fischer and Leah Hoffman both were 5-for-5, both with two doubles, and both drove in two runs. Jada Purdy was 3-for- 5 with a double and four RBI.

South’s Lily Engen was 3-for-4, and Ava Klein and Syd Gorder both had a hit and two RBI.

North is 10-2 in EDC points and 8-3 overall. South is 0-15 in EDC points and 0-9 overall.
