In May 2024, Patrick apparently quote-tweeted a post from Cosmic Marvel that read: “Disney reportedly wants Austin Butler to star in their new ‘PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN’ film. He was also being eyed for a while to star in the live-action ‘HERCULES’ film,” and added: “Cmon man share a little bit.”
“Patrick just don’t like that man I fear,” the X user wrote alongside this screenshot, racking up thousands of likes and retweets.
“I know I’m gonna sound mean for this but maybe he’s so used to nepotism being an advantage that he genuinely believes austin ‘taking’ the things he wants is the only reason why he’s not getting the career he expects to have,” one person theorized in response.
“this is very pathetic considering that austin has been working since childhood to get to this point in his career, and patrick has been very lucky in comparison given his family name. It's not austin's fault that your nepotism is failing you,” another echoed.
While somebody else simply quipped: “Shameless.”
