1. What tennis playing surface do you find most intriguing to watch?
John Letasky: Hard courts, just because most of the matches take place on these surfaces.
Lindsay Rossmiller: I confess I don't watch much tennis in my free time.
Carson Cashion: Most of the time I spend watching tennis is during Wimbledon (unless Ben Shelton is playing), so I'd say grass.
Bria Manning: Clay courts. I love the color and they look so aesthetically pleasing.
Jake Iverson: I just love that there's a sport with this much variance in playing surfaces. Clay is probably the best to look at, grass has the most history, hard is by far the one used the most.
2. What's a sure sign that it's time for summer sports in the part of Montana you call home?
John Letasky: The Billings Mustangs are playing baseball and now that high school ball is over, it's time for Legion baseball to begin.
Lindsay Rossmiller: The lineup of all-star games that begin almost immediately after state weekend.
Carson Cashion: Opening Day for the PaddleHeads, without a doubt.
Bria Manning: Daylight still at 8:30 p.m. meaning more time at the outdoor 3D archery course in Sheridan.
Jake Iverson: When I'm at a Mustangs game, watching the Twins game on my phone and checking the score of the Timberwolves playoff game on my watch.
3. What was a highlight for you of spring sports coverage?
John Letasky: While I covered remotely, it was cool to track the State C golf tournament and State B-C softball tourney.
Lindsay Rossmiller: The State B-C track meet is one of my favorite combos when they're hosted together.
Carson Cashion: Western Montana was home to some great diamond-sport action this spring. It was a treat to watch.
Bria Manning: Getting to watch so many Class A track and field athletes break records: personal records, school records, class records.
Jake Iverson: The baseball playoffs, especially Billings Central's tight championship win, were just a delight.
4. Thoughts on the 2025 girls flag football state championships being split into three classifications?
John Letasky: With nearly 30 teams and also the school enrollment numbers, it seems like the fair thing to do.
Lindsay Rossmiller: It seems like the right time with three years in the books and exponential growth of schools competing.
Carson Cashion: With plenty of Class AA teams entering the fold, I get the idea.
Bria Manning: It looks like there's a lot of variety, so it makes sense to me.
Jake Iverson: I always conceptually love when the small schools get to play the big ones, but this definitely makes more sense, especially considering how many teams there will be.
5. Is there a classic car you'd like to own?
John Letasky: I kind of miss my 1981 Chevy truck, so a refurbished early-to-mid 1980s Chevy truck would be kind of cool.
Lindsay Rossmiller: None that I feel strongly about, but did you hear about the Wienermobile race in Indianapolis aka the Wienie 500?
Carson Cashion: I'm not a huge car guy, but the car from 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' would be a nice addition.
Bria Manning: I'm not sure if it would be considered a "classic" car, but I love the 1969 Corvette Stingray.
Jake Iverson: My dream car for almost my whole life has been a 1970 Plymouth Superbird, preferably in Petty Blue. Just think Mr. The King from "Cars."
